So you may be thinking, "Wait, she's a Christian homeschooler, how would she know anything about "fashion"? Like aren't they only allowed to wear jean jumpers? How does she know about the Internet anyway!"
Haha sorry to burst your bubble but that's not the way a lot homeschoolers are ;) I have several friends who normally wear jean jumpers, and that's fine! However, My parents do not believe it is necessary for My sisters and I to dress in a certain way. We DO believe that there are certain ways we are NOT to dress! So yes I have rules about modesty! A few of them are enforce by my mom and dad (and I completely agree with them), a few of them are ones I have set for myself to follow, and a few are there just because, well, lets face it: COMMON SENSE PEOPLE!!!!!!
Anyways, here are my rules I dress by!
Nothing strapless or off the shoulder. No spaghetti straps either.
NO BELLY SHOWING AT ALL (duh) And no *ahem* undie shorts. Basically, no skin showing between four inches below my neck to four inches above my knees! This goes for swimsuits too!
Nothing with skulls on it. *gross*
No t shirts with impertinent or unladylike quotes on it.
No tops so tight that when you pull on it it snaps back.
No dying or chalking my hair. (and BTW I'm a red head =D) Ok maybe that is not a rule, I just don't think I'd like it on me ;) ~UPDATE~ I tried chalking my hair and didn't care for it, just saying =)
No see through skirts and or tops!
If skirts are flowey, always wear a slip! Cause I love to twirl! ^_^ Yay!!!
No heavy eye make up
I don't really have any rules about shoes, jewelry, purses etc. Just opinions. Like, I don't have my ears pierced, but that doesn't mean I am against earrings. I just don't think I would wear them. I do wear vintage clip ons from time to time though!
